Posts from the Old Blog: Photography Class Follow Up – Lightroom

I was honored to have been asked to teach at this year’s MIPX Forum Photography Meetup – unlike any conference/convention ever!

I decided to teach a class on Lightroom because I love Lightroom. There was already a Lightroom Class on schedule that focused on advanced editing, so mine was more work flow based. The rest of this post is simply follow-up information for the attendees.

Presets:

There are a ton of free presets available.

Here are a couple links to get you started:

Watermarking in LR2:

All you should have to do is make sure that your copyright info is filled out (we did this via the metadata preset), and then check the box to add watermark as you export. If this is not working for you, there is something else going on and I’d be glad to try to help via email.

Also, you can download this plugin that allows you to do advanced watermarking. I highly recommend it.

There are great instructions on the site above, but again, I will help via email if you have trouble.

Resources: Most of the sites for the presets have other valuable Lightroom info, but in addition to those here are some more LR resources:

IMPORTANT: If you haven’t already done so, please fill out your evaluation forms. You can do this online in just a few minutes. If there is something you really liked, you need to say so or it may go away. Also, if there is something you didn’t like, you need to let us know so that we can continually make this event better! You should have received links to the online survey, but if you didn’t shoot me a quick email and I’ll send them to you.

Finally, if you haven’t already done so, please give a public shout out to MIPX. And if you have, do it again!
