We recently took the kids to the zoo in Springfield, MO. It turned out to be a nearly perfect day – partially sunny, not too hot, not too cold, sandwiched in between about 10 days of rain. Couldn’t have really been better. The only problem was that we weren’t the only ones who thought it would be a great day to go to the zoo. We arrived to see gobs of school buses and hundreds of 5 year old covering the playground outside the zoo like a colony of ants. Oh well.
